Noufal Ansari

Mr.Noufal Ansari’s journey to founding Liwan Furniture in 2014 began with his fascination for antiques since childhood. From a very young age, he was drawn to pieces with history, always curious, collecting and intrigued by the stories hidden within old pieces. What started as a simple love for meaningful finds slowly grew into a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, design, and the legacy a piece can carry.
Since 2012, Noufal has travelled across the world, exploring artisan workshops in India, the souks of Marrakech, and the ateliers of Europe and each piece at Liwan is hand-selected during these journeys, for its unique story, craftsmanship, and authenticity.
Liwan’s collections are an extension of this journey, where contemporary silhouettes meet Moroccan mashrabiya, European farmhouse charm, Indo-Portuguese antiques, and Japanese minimalism, all brought together through instinctive curation to add character and timeless presence to your space.
By working directly with artisans, Noufal ensures that traditional craftsmanship, from metal inlay to Indian bone marquetry, continues to thrive in the modern world. His mission is clear: to turn furniture into legacy.

Zerin Ayisha joined Liwan as both partner and co-founder, quietly shaping its soul from within. An educator by profession, she brings a thoughtful eye and a deep understanding of how spaces influence the way we live and connect.
While Noufal sourced furniture with a collector's passion, Zerin gently expanded Liwan’s vision by introducing handcrafted home dining wares, artisanal table linens, ceramic serveware, and decorative objects. Under her direction, Liwan became not just about interiors, but about the feeling of home.
Together, they travel the world not just to source, but to truly understand the craft and culture behind every piece they bring back.
As Zerin shares, “I’ve always believed beauty lies in the details. To me, a home is built around the table, where families gather and stories are shared. At Liwan, I hope the pieces we choose become part of your everyday rituals, growing beyond furniture into something that holds history and memories you’ll cherish for years.”
